What’s PROTEAS All About?
The EDF funded project – PROTEAS is set to redefine the capabilities of Special
Operations Forces with its deployable Special Operations Forces Command Post and Control
System (SOFCPC2). Imagine state-of-the-art shelter, power systems, and advanced
communications infrastructure seamlessly integrated with manned and unmanned assets. Plus,
top-notch perimeter security for unparalleled operational efficiency!
Our Contribution.
The PROTEAS Collaborative Multi-Agent System (CMAS) for unmanned platforms will serve as a bridge between the SOFCP and the unmanned platforms (USV and UAV). CMAS functions mainly as a mission management tool, allowing C2 operators to request high-level, collaborative mission goals (such as a joint ISR mission using both a USV and a UAV). CMAS will then determine the specific tasks for each unmanned platform within the Multi-Agent System. It will handle path calculation, mission planning, mission monitoring, and task assignment, ensuring precise execution at designated times and locations. This system aims to significantly reduce the cognitive load on C2 operators related to managing the unmanned platforms.
